How getolo scaled a multi-brand PR strategy across Europe with PR.co

When getolo first entered the market, it wasn’t yet an insurance company. Operating under the name dentolo, the platform focused on connecting individuals with local dentists to help users find top-notch care at competitive prices. Things took a transformative turn when dentolo partnered with Zurich Insurance Group, evolving into a full-fledged dental health insurance provider. Today, the company is known as getolo and has established itself as the leading InsurTech in Germany. In 2025, getolo successfully expanded its presence to France.

With its success in dental health insurance, the company expanded its services, launching new sub-brands to address different insurance needs. petolo emerged as a dedicated solution for pet health insurance, offering coverage for cats and dogs. This was closely followed by vitolo, specializing in supplementary health insurance that covers preventive care and medical treatments not included in public health insurance plans. In 2025 getolo additionally launched its first French brand – patolo, the French equivalent of the German pet insurance petolo. The getolo team quickly recognized the need to unify its growing portfolio as each sub-brand caters to unique audiences with its own specialized solutions, making multi-brand management a key driver of the company’s growth and operational efficiency.

Navigating the complexities of managing four distinct brands meant getolo needed a scalable and robust solution to elevate brand awareness, maintain consistent messaging, and streamline PR efforts across its ecosystem. We spoke with Josephin Mahlow, Content Marketing Manager at getolo, to uncover how PR.co has become an indispensable partner in helping getolo drive growth across its multi-brand portfolio.

Challenge: Managing communications for three brands under one roof

With four distinct brands under one roof, getolo faced the challenge of making its corporate story understandable to all stakeholders. While each brand serves a different area of the insurance world, it was important to communicate that they are all part of one shared vision. The goal wasn’t just to build visibility for individual brands—but to show how they fit together under the umbrella of getolo.

“We wanted a central platform to explain who we are as a company,” says Josephin Mahlow, Content Marketing Manager at getolo. “It was important to highlight what unites our brands and to create clarity around our values and how we drive innovation—beyond just the individual products.”

Solution: A professional, customizable newsroom for all brands

PR.co played a key role in helping getolo create a branded newsroom designed to spotlight its sub-brands, dentolo, petolo, vitolo and patolo. The platform offered dedicated spaces within the global newsroom for each brand, featuring essential tools like media kits, press release archives, and a clippings section.

The platform’s flexibility enabled getolo to build dedicated sections for each sub-brand, ensuring a seamless blend of individuality and professionalism across its newsroom. “PR.co helped us design spaces that highlight each brand’s unique identity while reinforcing a unified and consistent company image,” Josephin explains.

Results: Enhanced media relations and increased inbound requests

PR.co empowers the getolo team with a comprehensive overview of their single brands' performance through its advanced PR analytics, enabling data-driven decision-making and strategic planning. “Having all of our brands centralized on one platform has made it so much easier to track performance and compare results at a glance,” shares Josephin, Content Marketing Manager at getolo.

The branded newsroom has strengthened getolo’s media presence by offering a clear, accessible source of information for journalists. It complements the work of our press agency by helping to increase visibility and simplify communication. “We continue to work closely with our agency to manage journalist relationships,” says Josephin Mahlow, Content Marketing Manager at getolo. “But thanks to the newsroom, journalists now find everything they need—fast. It supports our agency’s outreach by making our brand easier to discover and engage with, while ensuring that incoming requests are still handled in a coordinated and professional way.”

PR.co as a key partner in getolo’s growth

PR.co has transformed the way getolo manages communications for its four distinct brands. By centralizing all PR activities into a single, customizable platform, it has streamlined multi-brand management, making it easier to coordinate, share, and track news across dentolo, petolo, vitolo and patolo. This unified approach has enhanced visibility and engagement across all brands while maintaining their unique identities.

As getolo continues to grow, PR.co’s newsroom remains an essential part of their strategy, empowering the team to handle the complexities of international multi-brand PR with ease, scaling their efforts efficiently, and strengthening their position in the competitive insurance market.
